Rowdy Roddy Piper RIP

Sad news this weekend with the passing of iconic wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper.

Whether he was the bad guy or the babyface, Piper never failed to entertain. The moment I recieved the news, I dug out my old action figure I've owned since 91' via my BFF at school and whipped up a couple of skit photos. Roddy Piper has an endless collection of witty quotes and phrases from his promo and announcing work with much potential to work with.

REVIEW: The Rock VS John Cena, (WWE Rumblers)

Wrestlemania 28 has marked the fantasy dream matchup many a wrestling have talked about happening for years. The Rock and John Cena; both fondly supported wrestling superstars in a long awaited encounter with a divided audience rooting for their favourite of the two, much like Hogan and Warrior before them.

As expected, merchandise and marketing is accompanying what is to date the biggest wrestling match setup since Jacob and God. And, in Rumblers form this clash of egos has been shrunk down into a VS set.

This VS set is a scaling down of a previous release for the regular sized WWE wrestlers, with a couple of obvious and minor differences. Both wrestlers are also bearing official T-shirts as part of their designs rather than usual ring wear. It shows this set is more of a one on one promo rather than a wrestling match itself. Both The Rock and John Cena are known for their catchy and entertaining promos, so perhaps this is what the set of figures is trying to embody.

Money In The Bank

I picked up this nifty cover 'gift' on the recent issue of WWE Kids Magazine (issue 31, December) - a pretty awesome roleplay Money In The Bank briefcase.

Inside there's absolutley nothing, but it can be used as a container for school supplies or toys or whatnot, or... maybe a world championship match contract to cash in on...

Wrestling spectators will know the relevence of this item - For this is no oridinary case. The current reigning world champion recentley won the gold by winning this buy-in item earlier in the year.
