Toxie & The Liquorice Tea Experiment, Part I
I love tea! I also love liquorice, and thought the two would make a great combo product. They sadly don’t in the case of Twinnings Liquorice tea as the product tastes like neither, but more resembling something unsafe for human consumption.
The box I once tried during a 60’s Batman evening has been sitting around doing nothing for weeks. But, I think a use has been found for these rejected tea bags!

Rainbows Toys Christmas Catalogue 1992
Before The Entertainer in Keynsham, the space was occupied by Rainbows Toys. Even the loading bay out back still bares a Rainbows Toys logo. Rainbows was popular, but its still good to have a local highstreet toyshop all the same.
Recently found is this product catalog for the Christmas 92 season. The Totally Toys logo also appears twice on the bottom so you don't forget it easily. Totally Toys are a separate highstreet retailer or possibly a sister business. They still have stores around the map, most notably a Bristol store I've been visiting long before Toys R Us started up business on British shores. More on them another time...

Spider-man 3 and the Colour Changing Ooze!
Doesn't time fly? Spider-man 3 hit the cinemas almost 8 years ago, and it looked like a 4th installment was on the way. Instead, the film series was rebooted again only for it to make way for yet another reboot in the Marvel Disney film universe.
Spider-man 3 spawned (no pun intended) a pretty decent line of toys based around the symbiote theme and included some decent variants of The Sandman too. The symbiote element paved the way to introduce slime to go with Spiderman figures, especially the Venom variants.
A favorite purchase I made back then was the VS set (pictured above) featuring the webbed wonder against an angry Venom and a casket of dark slime to go between them. The figures and slime were separated over the years, but I managed to recover where I stored the unopened ooze cannister.
For some reason. The ooze had changed colour!!
In true Carnage spawned action, this Venom discharge turned bright red in pure irony. I'm certain it isn't meant to do that. Kind of a happy accident, albeit a very runny one too.

A £10 Evening In by Poundland
My cyber-pal Matt from Dinosaur Dracula posted back in February about his $10 Dollar Tree 'Party for one' (see. here). I responded over Twitter to say that I'd produce a similar article at some point from the perspective of the British pound shop, in this case Poundland.
Keynsham Poundland to be precise.:)
So here we go...
The rules are simple. 10 objects, all at £1 each. 99% of the stock is that price, so an easy guideline to stick to.
