KRISPY KREME Ghostbusters Promotion 2024

A decade ago, we blogged about the UK branch of Krispy Kreme shunning the Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary promotion that was later limited to USA/Canada. https://figuredouthq.blogspot.com/2014/10/krispy-kreme-uk-elbows-ghostbusters.html

10 Years later, Ghostbusters has turned the big 4-0, and Krispy Kreme have introduced a new range of donuts to celebrate the milestone. This time around, the UK branch is participating!

The promotion is as follows:
Capture your cravings with our NEW Ghostbusters inspired doughnuts! Featuring 4 ghostly-good doughnuts that make spooky season extra delicious!

Ghostbusters Cookies N’ Creme Doughnut made with OREO® - an Original Glazed® doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with OREO® pieces, a dollop of flavored buttercreme with OREO® and a No Ghost logo candy.

Stay Puft Marshmallow Man Doughnut Pull-Apart – Original Glazed® doughnut with powdered topping, topped with marshmallow flavored buttercreme and a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man candy.

Slimer Doughnut – an unglazed doughnut filled with lemon flavored green filling, dipped in purple and green icing with a Slimer candy.

Ecto-Sprinkled Doughnut – an Original Glazed® doughnut dipped in orange colored icing and sprinkled with neon sprinkles. (KrispyKreme.com)

The dozen presentation box has a really cool Ecto-Trap design and is a keeper!

One thing missing from the UK side of the promotion is the Mr Stay Puft donut. The dozen box features the basic glazed donuts as a substitute (see pics). However, it's great that this time around Krispy Kreme UK is taking part of the Ghostbusters celebration.

Fanta Dark Orange (2019)

Journeying back from an October day well spent at the TimeWarp Arcade , our party stopped by the nearby Bridgwater ASDA for supplies on the road trip home.

There in the entrance area was a large promotional display for a limited edition Halloween Fanta called Dark Orange. This Fanta was even given a really cool Werewolf mascot complete with orange slices for eyes! It looked the bees nees, or the Wolfman's Nards - whichever you prefer.

I grabbed a couple of bottles of this dark liquid fizz and took them home. One of these to preserve for photographing, scanning and immortalising. I regretably didn't capture any images of the store display.

5 Years later, I recovered the mini photoshoot for what has been a blog post 5 years in the making!
